Higher ed sector disruptions: New research

What do Higher Ed leaders have to say about the impact of COVID, disruption in their category, and evolving their market strategy?

We posed this question as the sector faced existential questions amidst campus shutdowns and the shift to remote learning in Spring 2020. In response, we embarked on a new study, conducted by Isurus and in partnership with higher ed specialists at Wallwork Curry Mckenna and Decibel Media.

The research examined how institutional marketing and enrollment management functions view the shifts in the higher ed landscape, and the implications for recruiting and retaining students going forward. We interviewed marketing and enrollment leaders at institutions, as well as ed tech leaders and industry consultants.

Published in August 2020, the findings cover:

  • How have student and parent expectations changed.
  • What is the longer-term strategy for virtual prospecting and recruitment.
  • What will be the pace and sequence of digital transformation for institutional marketing and enrollment management.
